Yep, it seems so to me too! Very large target!! How would you defend something that size when it can sink? Islands don't sink, but this would. Still, brilliant concept!

It's large air wing providing air defense, SAMs, 30mm Goalkeeper CIWS (based on the GAU-8 Avenger), Rolling Airframe Missiles, Possibly THEL turrets [link] and an SM-3 Aegis system.

But if one nuclear missile does get through, you can still kiss it goodbye. It would happen with present day carriers anyway, if it came to that. As I said I love just the design, it's the size that seems such a liability.
