Earth Aeronautics and Space Administration

The Earth Aeronautics and Space Administration resulted from the world's many space agencies pooling their resources and cooperating in many various projects and space exploration ventures.  Eventually, these cooperative projects became so frequent and so involved that the space agencies that the space agencies of the world elected to formally merge into a single, planet-wide space exploration agency.  Thus EASA (Pronounced: ee-AH-sah) was born.  With world-wide resources available to it, EASA has improved Earth's technology by leaps and bounds.  Even though their main advances have been in the technology of space exploration, EASA has improved technology in such areas as power generation, computers, robotics, and medicine (just to name a few).  Thanks to EASA, alternative fuels have fully and totally replaced fossil fuels as the primary means of fueling vehicles.  EASA's first crowning achievement was the founding of a permanent colony on Mars.  This was followed by the discovery and colonization of an earth-like planet orbiting Alpha Centauri.  Thanks to EASA, space travel is becoming safe and practical, paving the way for private and commercial space travel.  We have already seen the beginning of asteroid mining, which has virtually replaced mining on Earth.  Additionally, EASA has found ways of breaking garbage down to its raw component elements and using those elements as raw materials in three dimensional printers they refer to as “Fabricators”.  The use of 3D printers and fabricators has revolutionized the manufacturing methods in ways that manufacturers haven't seen since the industrial revolution.  Robotics have also improved the most since the founding of EASA.  Despite irrational fears of artificially intelligent robots rising up and exterminating the human race, EASA has developed robots with fully realized artificial intelligences that are as amazingly useful as they ubiquitous.  In essence, George Lucas' dream of robots as everyday tools and workers has finally come to pass.  Robots of all shapes and sizes have popped up and taken over many dangerous or mundane jobs.  These days it's hard to imagine a business or household without a robot assistant.  Thanks to EASA, mankind is finally branching out in ways not previously imagined.
