Was this design though aerodynamically sound?

Wow. The lives that could have been saved as well how the program could have continued.

This is a criticism but just a thought on your design. I would suggest a little more vertical stabilizer surface area.

Always felt that orbiters should be tailless. Great design draw.

Hmm. The lack of the central tail fin bugs me. The shuttle is one of those craft that really need a tail fin :P

Great work dude
but is it more reliable than the ones we use today?

Looks like it'll be easier to land; the canards would provide more lift and thus make controlling it during its glide easier.

Although I've come up with an even more ambitious design that incorporates jet engines, enabling it to take off from a runway, ascend to 120,000 feet above sea level, then transition to rocket-powered flight to get into orbit. Upon landing it can use the jets to maintain better control and to allow the pilot to make multiple attempts at landing.

Dude great idea that would allow our space program from wasting money on huge platforms and reduce the time between shuttle missions

And Nasa won't have to spend money on building giant external fuel tanks, refurbishing solid rocket boosters, or even maintaining the crawler transporters. They can just roll the plane out to the runway and have it blast off from there!

And they won't have keep building giant external fuel tanks and refurbishin solid rocket boosters for reuse.

yea but I only see one issue other which is where is the fuel stored?

It would allow shuttle flights once a day at least.

Though I could actually have it built only with support from somebody other than NASA. The most likely candidate is the US Air Force if it has combat capability (I've been designing it with ASAT capability in mind)
