4 warp thingies? sorry, im not good at star trek tech. but, this design, looks like it would be super fast, and probably super well armed, in more traditional sifi terms, its a Battlecruiser?

well, technically you are right. However, it is actually a carrier ship, it would be armed like the Sovereign class in my book. The Sovereign is considered an Assault Cruiser (which means Battlecruiser really) by STOWiki [link] some say Battleship since it has 12 Phaser emplacements and 5 torpedo launchers. So since this ship is a carrier, it is larger but not necessarily more powerful. It would probably be on the outskirts of battle launching fighters and shuttles into the fray.

standard military doctrine states that carriers and their escorts are to be as far away from battle as possible. they are very strategic targets, destroying them is a considerable loss to your enemies. least, in real life, i dont know hwow things work in star trek.
